GUILLERMO DEL TORO’S PINOCCHIO

The teaser is out and we get our first glimpse at this movie’s wonderful art direction. Guillermo del Toro’s stop-motion animated musical Pinocchio is set to be released in December 2022.

Academy Award®-winning filmmaker Guillermo del Toro reimagines the classic Italian tale of PINOCCHIO in a stop-motion musical adventure. Following the mischievous adventures of Pinocchio in fascist Italy. Making us wonder what Mr. Del Toro has up his sleeve, and most importantly, what kind of rating the movie will have?

The crew includes Ewan McGregor as Sebastian J. Cricket, David Bradley (Game of Thrones) as Geppetto, and Gregory Mann as the wooden puppet who comes to life. Other voice actors will include Tilda Swinton (Michael Clayton), Christoph Waltz (Inglourious Basterds), Finn Wolfhard (Stranger Things), Cate Blanchett, John Turturro (Barton Fink), Ron Perlman (Hellboy), Tim Blake Nelson (Watchmen), and Burn Gorman (The Dark Knight Rises).

This version of Pinocchio is not tied to the live-action remake of the animated film currently in the works at Walt Disney Studios and even though the first look at the movie is less than a minute in length, we can already tell the incredible craftsmanship that it is being invested into this project. We cannot wait to see a full trailer!
